Accessibility Statement

APY Auto Parts is committed to ensuring every customer — including screen reader users, keyboard-only users, and people with visual, auditory, cognitive, or motor limitations — can browse parts, check out, and contact us equally across every step of the journey.

Our commitment to accessibility

Our website is designed and developed against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2, Level AA — the internationally recognised standard — covering page structure, colour, typography, interactive controls, and forms across every step of the purchase journey.

We regularly audit the core components of the shopping flow — from the site header, product cards, and product filters to search, the shopping cart, and the checkout page — and continuously remediate any element that does not yet meet the standard, following the improvement plan published on this page.

If you encounter any barrier while using our site, please tell us through the feedback form below so we can keep improving the website for everyone.

Target
WCAG 2.2 Level AA
Scope
The entire purchase journey, from storefront browsing to checkout
Assessment methods
Source-code review, keyboard-only navigation testing, and screen reader testing (NVDA, VoiceOver)
Technologies we rely on
HTML5, Vue 3 / Nuxt 4, WAI-ARIA, Tailwind CSS, and the APY Design System

Display settings & user guides

Adjust the display to suit you right away. The settings below are saved on this device and apply to the whole website, not just this page.

Text size

Scale site-wide text from 100% up to 150%. Scaling is proportional, so Thai vowel and tone marks stay correctly attached and layouts never overlap — in either language.

Reduce motion

Turns off all animation and transition effects across the website — helpful if you are sensitive to motion. You can switch it on or off at any time. The site also automatically honours your device's own reduce-motion setting (prefers-reduced-motion).

Dark / light mode

Switch themes instantly. Your choice is remembered for your next visit; by default the site follows your device setting.

Keyboard shortcut guide

If you navigate with a keyboard or a screen reader, these shortcuts cover the main areas of the website.

Keyboard shortcut guide
KeysWhat it does
Tab / Shift + TabMove focus to the next or previous link, button, or input, following the logical order of the page
Enter / SpaceActivate the focused link or button, e.g. Add to Cart
EscClose the open overlay: cart drawer, search menu, sign-in form, or region/language preferences
← / →Move between images in the full-screen product gallery
↑ / ↓Choose options inside native system dropdowns — language, currency, and province/address pickers
Browser autofillAddress and phone fields support autofill (tel, postal-code) to reduce repetitive typing

Supported accessibility features

Summarised from our most recent hands-on audit of the live website, grouped into the three areas of universal access.

Visual Accommodations

  • Colours follow the APY Design System — primary and secondary text meet the 4.5:1 minimum contrast ratio for WCAG AA, for both Thai and Latin glyphs
  • Noto Sans Thai paired with DM Sans keeps Thai vowels and tone marks legible while Latin text reads cleanly at the same size
  • Dark/light mode follows your operating system or your own choice, with no theme flash when pages load
  • Site-wide text scaling from 100% to 150% available on this page, with layouts that reflow gracefully in both Thai and English
  • Reduced motion is supported both from your system setting and from the switch on this page
  • Product images carry localized alt text stored per language

Keyboard Navigation & Focus Management

  • Pages are structured with ordered headings and landmarks (header / main / footer), so Tab follows a sensible sequence
  • Primary buttons and links show a clearly visible focus ring across the site
  • Overlays such as the cart drawer, the region/language modal, and the image gallery can be dismissed with the Esc key
  • Left/Right arrow keys step through images in the full-screen product gallery
  • Language, currency, and province/district pickers use the operating system's native select controls, which work well with keyboards and screen readers — especially on mobile

Screen Reader Support

  • The document language tag switches automatically between th-TH and en-US, so screen readers select the correct text-to-speech voice engine
  • Drawers and core modals expose dialog semantics with aria-modal and accessible names translated into the active language (Thai/English)
  • The theme switch uses switch semantics with a publicly announced checked state; language buttons expose pressed/unpressed state; the region modal's tabs use the standard tablist structure
  • Decorative icons are hidden from screen readers; every breadcrumb is a labelled navigation landmark that marks the current page
  • The international-shopper notice banner uses a live status region
  • Sign-in and sign-up fields have screen-reader-only labels and browser autocomplete hints in line with WCAG success criterion 1.3.5

Known limitations and ongoing remediation

Despite the accommodations described above, our most recent audit identified some areas that do not yet fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA. We are actively working on these fixes:

  • Some controls remain primarily mouse-driven — search result rows, product gallery images, and the installation-service option — and are being converted to semantic, keyboard-operable buttons
  • There is no skip-to-content link at the top of pages yet
  • Some confirmations are not announced to screen readers yet, including the add-to-cart toast and checkout validation errors
  • A number of labels are still hardcoded in English and are being migrated into the full Thai/English dictionary for complete parity
  • Some menus and expandable sections do not yet announce their open/closed state

While these fixes are in progress, you can always place an order via our LINE Official account, phone, or email — see the contact channels at the bottom of this page.
